What’s the 7 Minute Security club all about?

Some quick background: 7 Minute Security is a security consultancy in Minnesota. We focus on ethical hacking exercises (a.k.a. pentesting), risk assessments and training. We also have a podcast.

I created this Substack to share a bit more behind-the-scenes insight into the projects we work on, cool things we’re learning about hacking/defending networks, and the challenges we face while running a cybersecurity SMB. The goal is to share our experiences and have a bit more personal interaction with interested readers/viewers/listeners.

Right now all content is free to general subscribers so why not just…

Will you spam me to death?

Well if you were part of our old newsletter you know updates only trickled out once a month, so NO! :-). I’m shooting for 1-2 updates a month. And you have full control over what notifications you do/don’t get.

What’s your future plans for this Substack thingy?

Through Substack we have the option to create certain posts/video/etc. that’s only available to paid subscribers. We’ll probably visit that in the future, but would never become a “everything’s behind a paywall” kind of club.
